I’m going to turn this feature on and test it out as some of you have indicated a desire to engage in a community like this. It will be for paid subscribers only. We’ll see how it goes. If it goes as well as the comments section here, then it will be a success. I do not want to be a babysitter (I don’t have either the time or the patience for it), so if it becomes a pain in the ass I will remove it. Here’s the copypasta below provided by Substack to explain the feature and how to install it and use it:
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the Fisted by Foucault subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.

This will be for paid subscribers only as I can imagine the hell that would be unleashed if everybody could participate.
I need to figure out some of the specifics regarding the subscriber chat. Once I do that I'll start a thread.
