Open Thread #24 - Happy Thanksgiving To Our American Friends
Open Thread plus another podcast appearance to share
(I’ve been having stupid fun with Microsoft Bing AI Image Generator, please forgive me)
A very, very Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends here on FbF. This is the last Thanksgiving before the next Presidential Election year, so savour the somewhat-toned down level of insanity, as 2024 is going to be wild.
I wish you and your families the best during the Holiday Season. Enjoy it, savour it, and most importantly of all, forget about all the nonsense that is not within our control for at least a few days.
I’ve recorded another podcast episode with my friend, Hollywood lawyer Matt Bilinsky. We spent a little over an hour discussing the War in Gaza, how Jews in the USA are dealing with its fallout (from several angles including my recent essay on Jews and DEI at Harvard), the crack up in the American conservative world over this conflict, plus more.
Give it a listen by clicking this link.
As this is an Open Thread, feel free to use it to discuss anything that you want, ask questions, make requests/demands, and so on. Leave a comment below:
Lastly, I’ve been amusing myself with Bing AI image generation, so to fill out this entry, here are some random ones that were created via my inputs (they are all really, really dumb).
Emperor Diolcetian tending to his cabbage patch in his retirement palace:
Yamnaya warrirors of the steppe encountering Early European Farmers somewhere in present-day Slovakia, circa 3000 BC:
This is what libertarians REALLY believe:
A cigarette smuggler smuggling cigarettes from Kotor, Montenegro on his way to Bari, Italy:
A French philosopher telling us that “nothing is happening”:
