This is an addition to what we already have at Substack, something that will not subtract from Fisted by Foucault. Hopefully, it will serve to enhance it, and your Substack experience.

"you might get a digest of three to six notes in a single email once a week or so for whichever Substack you are subscribed to"
This might result in losing subscribers, if they implement it wrong. Should be optional and the default set by the writer (in my case: please don't spam my subscribers with a digest of tweets).
Now that I think of it, since Notes seems to present my timeline chronologically, unlike Twitter, it makes even less sense to send out digests, as I can just scroll back a week and won't miss anything.
Although there are many nationalities here, this forum has been the only place since 1918 where trad Croats and Serbs have come together to make the world a better place. So, dear Anglos, please behave. If we can do it, you can do it too.
I was going to ask you about it after reading somewhere Substack measure email opening and link clicking. Afterwards I started frantically clicking and opening in case I was driving you into penury.
oh no are we about to be invaded by the commissars of the Karenocracy? is this gonna be like back when i was young and we'd have to change bars every year once our secret sanctuary was found out and invaded by tourists?
how many times can a man be fisted in a single lifetime?!?

Looking forward to this!

I agree, and many of us have already brought this up.

Also: do me a favour and let me know if you get an email that indicates that I have subscribed to your feed.
Here's your requested favour 🙂 Yep, an email audaciously plopped into inbox.
Thank you. We need to build a centre of power!

Yes, just got the email for you subscribing
neiss
Yes indeed Niccolo. The email thing works.
Substack has done well to carve itself a niche. I hope this doesn't detract or distract.
This new bit is what they've been working towards from the beginning. All I can say is: we'll see. BTW, I replied to your email.

I knew the answer was "Pilgrim"
I love the announcer doing a tomahawk chop wail
I wish I could turn off emails for substacks altogether.
I use the page to read stuff.
I just filtered it to a folder in my box.
All these companies use email distribution as a metric for success/failure. It's shit, but it's ingrained culture.
I was going to ask you about it after reading somewhere Substack measure email opening and link clicking. Afterwards I started frantically clicking and opening in case I was driving you into penury.

All the stars are here!
It's gonna be a shitshow.

Always safe here at FbF, but Notes is gonna be nuts.
no notes for me, im trying to cut back on hot takes
If people are comparing this to Twitter, that's a buzzkill for me.
We will see. Like I said, it's certainly not for everyone.
Hi!
Thanks Niccolo. Not exactly sure what’s astir but as you say, see how it goes.
If this is a crap idea it’s all your fault.
The iOS app crashes when I read Notes. Wondering if anyone else gets this. Only the Notes part is affected. I can read newsletter posts okay.
I put in a support ticket.
