I have lived in the US for many years. Here I studied mathematics and law and worked for the federal government. This is what I learned: 1) Americans did not go to the Moon; 2) 9/11 was an inside job; 3) many shootings were false flags; 4) the financial crisis of 2008 was engineered to transfer wealth from ordinary people to the rich, as it had been done many times in the past. But you already know that.

My mom reports that my little flyover hometown can barely put on a Memorial Day parade anymore. A handful of old-timers from the American Legion show up to march, followed by some local bikers, and that's it. Not many spectators anymore, either.

As a proud Southerner whose ancestors arrived in Virginia in 1650 and am therefore the founding stock of Old America, and the descendant of Confederates who rebelled against another government 80 years after 1776, my thoughts on AINO today are decidedly rebellious. I certainly am not flying the current flag, nor that fake "Betsy Ross" flag, with its connotations of inoffensive CivNat fake patriotism. I'm not flying any flags except a rattlesnake in my heart.

Happy 4th! In the spirit of open thread:

Does anyone else feel that Angela Merkel is underestimated? In the face of Russian nuclear threats, she said that the words helped "maintain room for maneuver”.

My homeland has a whole litany of problems, and they foist them off on the rest of the entire world in an unending succession of military and ideological warfare, sure. But, no lie, it’s also dope as hell.

Happy Birthday to perhaps the most audacious attempt at a nation the world has ever known. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Genius article still. I thought the same last year when you posted it. I may have made this same comment then too (easy to see the like I clicked on it, hard to search the comment thread for something I may have said).

It’s infuriating seeing the country be just as you describe it. Most of my various great grandparents came here from europe exactly as you describe and did well here (I’m a GenXer, so that was 1880s-1900ish). I grew up believing in generic liberal β€œmelting pot” assimilationism. Now my sons are heading off to college into a changed world.

Feeling gray-pilled lately.

The only way out is through. There will be no RETVRN. That's a mindset doomed to fail. Life doesn't work that way, time always moves forward. If people want to change things, they need to come to terms with that reality.

I still think you probably have better opportunity here than most places. Just saw a British Police tweet about someone getting jailed for being a troll. At least we're not that far gone!

Union Dixie and The Battle of New Orleans are my favorite (not as popular) patriotic songs. Check em out if you haven’t, you red coat ;)

If we can

pump the breaks on mass immigration and affirmative action,

get people comfortable with HBD/IQ and allow the inevitable racial stratification/competence hierarchy to emerge,

and preserve our Bill of Rights...

I think we could still squeeze a few more centuries out of the bastardized mercantile empire I call home
