The main thing NC jettisoning its noble principles over a fairly paltry sum proves is that religious conservatives worship money just like everyone else.

So "hard right" is to the right of "far right"? Or vice versa?

If they had a ludicrous mode, I'd be less confused!

France is not a nation of immigrants. I wouldn't want to be a member of a visible minority in any European country in the near to mid term.

I just finished Houllebecq's Submission. I was surprised how positively he portrayed Islam, emphasizing its tradition, hierarchy, and high birth rate.

That is, the same points at the core of the French Right!

Well-written as always, enjoyable Sat. morning read. The political center of gravity shifting in France rings true, though I expect Macron to win and continue his reign as distinguished WEF young global leader alumnus. France will muddle along afterwards until the next sequence of beheadings. Macron will continue to marginalize people who don't agree with his WEF programming. I like the pivot to the Greek uprising and Woke Capital. The old pantheon of Gods has been replaced by GOOGL, FB, AAPL, AMZN, NFLX. Their trillions in market cap and hundreds of billions in cash on the balance sheet give them power uber alles, as evidenced by their actions during the 2020 US election, media censorship, cancellations, response to Russia, etc. Pelosi's husband buys $millions of their stock and call options. US politicians are under their thumb. When called to congress, the hearings are a joke quickly forgotten. JPM, GS, BLK are powerful but subservient to and worth only a fraction of this pantheon worth over $10 trillion (their fees are the lifeblood of JPM, GS, BLK). Agreed it will take years for this to play out, though not sure how that will look. Yes, Germany is the most important country in Europe. Though Woke, their latent Germanic tendencies may once again be expressed. For me, I prefer to have more of my $$ invested in less-woke capital such as TSLA, but I know I will have to slowly exit even that over the coming years along with the woke capital pantheon in my IRA. Then the future may require moving money into real assets, living cheaply, maybe investing in some donkeys and rifles. One thing I expect, the North and South Slavs will endure as they have for 1,000 years despite lethal Teutonic Knights crashing in from one side and rapey Ottomans from the other. My grandfather was a partizan who fought under Tito and was killed by the (real) Nazis in 1945. He was a Slovenian and a Slav, but I have come to accept that Slovenia now views itself as "European" and have disavowed Slavic identity. Amazing how quickly this change happened. Why does it matter? I think hope for the future doesn't reside in compulsion to be European, a vassal of Germany or Woke Capital. Hope for the future more likely resides in those who don't give a shit about any of that...maybe there is hope (crazy as it sounds) in the likes of Africa, India, China, and yes, the Slavs who have resisted psychos despite poor odds for so long. Embrace the Trickster, and say no to the Empire. As for the concept of Woke, I'm bringing my son into the gym for the first time this summer to introduce him to weight lifting. The most objective measure of who is a man and who is a woman is whether or not you can bench press your body weight 5 times in succession. That's it. If you can, then you're a man. If not, then you are a woman or adolescent boy (effectively the same to the Epstein types or classical Greeks). Smrt fasizmu sloboda narodu.

Great article once again. What hasn't been talked about much but is picking up steam as of late is the Rene Girard scapegoating that is pretty evident now. Memesis has been evident through the power of social media influence and the rise of the woke (also the latest Groomarians) but the scapegoating function has literally consumed all of America and slowly all of Western client states (cancel culture to Putin). Would be great to hear your thoughts. Keep up the good work!

Identitarian progressivism will wholly capture Capital in a matter of years. The only recourse for companies remains the ability to fire employees who go too far (some outspoken transgender activists got the ax a few years ago in Silicon Valley if I remember right). That recourse will go away very soon.

But diversity initiatives are now de facto unions and are accumulating massive internal power in corporations. The black employees, ‘LatinX’, gays, etc all have representation now. Maybe either the balance of power naturally changes to favor these groups or the Executive branch unilaterally recognizes certain powers or rights for them that places them out of the reach of punishment.

Looking forward to every company being run by blue-haired problem glasses selling TVs in the name of “anti-racism”.

A few years before his death, Karl Lagerfeld commented that Paris was no longer the dreamy and romantic Paris of folklore. Instead, Paris had become dirty and dangerous. For this he was exiled from cameras, etc, by among others, Anna Wintour.

So question: If you have been to Paris recently, What's the story?

And in terms of the excerpt about Woke Capital, I notice that the writer is a professor at Williams College. Wonder what his peers think about it.

The elites do not allow debate about immigration or demographics and I fear because of this the pot will boil over. In Canada it’s inconsequential but in France demographics are an existential threat. Hatred of the elite is growing and I fear time is running out.

“ inform these same people (French) that their concerns do not matter and that they are in a way, superfluous.”

Gee. Over here the elites are howling for our genocide openly, and if they can’t find Americans or Mexicans to do the job they”ll provoke a nuclear war .

Woke is the Religion of Power.

Its also the replacement Civic Religion with the Republic and Constitution dead and buried.

(This is actually competence).

The worst part is these young sociopaths look in the mirror and see a Saint doing g_ods work - as they violate every command of that g_od.

I was telling someone this weekend Occupy Wall Street was an extended job interview (the Trustifarians are all rich from the markets and probably they all work there or government now).

Occupy was part of the job interview; you must prove you are sincerely passionately against what you do as part of America’s ruling elites and you must believe in your own purity- as you enslave and lay waste the world foreign and domestic for rentier profits.

No doubt Larry Fink looks in the mirror and sees Gandhi.

Hitler had the good taste to decline on the Nobel Prize when his name was mentioned.

The Woke you know may yet launch the missiles the Boomers didn’t- and believe they are Gandhi or Martin Luther King the whole way.

Mazower’s book has been on my list. My church recently had our own Greek Independence celebration. It still means a lot in the diaspora. The history of modern nationalism is fascinating. I do think it’s important to realize that outsiders and the great and regional powers will always use their influence to their advantage in conflicts like these. Just the natural state of things. Sometimes it’s for the better, like with Greece. Other times, it’s used as a ploy install PRIDE parades. It is what it is.

Minor typo, my friend:

"...Zemmour’s effect seems to be in ‘normalizing’ Marine Le Pen and her RN. Ouflanking her on the right has led many to conclude that she can’t be that after all..."

Pretty sure you left out the word "bad" (or some synonymous term here.)

Good poast.
