Open Thread #7 - Summer Solstice

We haven’t done an open thread in a while, so we might as well have one now…..
Over the years, I’ve met quite a few people in person here in Split, Croatia that I first met online (including some rather famous and infamous people). It’s always a lot of fun, and I enjoy showing friends around Diocletian’s Palace and beyond. If you have plans to come to Dalmatia, don’t hesitate to contact me so that we can arrange to meet up.
This open thread has no theme, so use it to ask questions, make requests, level criticisms, talk to one another, and so on.
Reminder: it seems that many of you are not getting emails from this Substack in your inboxes. Please check your spam folder until this situation corrects itself.
Lastly: a big thanks to everyone that has signed up for this Substack these past almost two years, I appreciate it a lot and am touched by your support. I never thought that this many people would sign up (and also pay) for my writing, especially considering how little promotion it receives from Big Media.
I plan on returning to interviews very, very soon (hopefully within the next 10 days or so), alongside more original content.

Click on the pic. This is an incredibly beautiful and unspoiled inlet on the island of Korčula. You have to walk down a steep embankment (not pictured) to get down to the beach. The only thing down there is a beach bar.
