Open Thread #14 - Anything and Everything
Questions? Ask them! Ideas? Share them! Criticisms? Level them!
As I continue reading my next interview subject’s recently published book (don’t ask as I don’t tell others who I have in the pipeline), and as I plot my next ‘think’ piece, here’s an open thread for my dear readers to ask questions, make requests, level criticisms at my work, or bring up any topic that they want to discuss with others.
This Substack continues to grow, and more and more people are referencing it elsewhere. Interviews continue to be the most popular product off of the assembly line, but I am pleased to report that everything being cranked out is doing quite well both with respect to page views and interaction.
Here’s an image showing the up-to-this-point 19 interviews that have been published on this Substack. More to come.
I’m working on creating an infographic that displays all of these images and makes them clickable, but need to continue to improve my skills before I am happy with the final product.
Many of you send me links through email….please continue to do so. I may miss some good stuff from time to time, so this helps me stay informed and widen the net for subjects that are brought up here.
…and if you haven’t done so already, please subscribe to Fisted By Foucault. A tremendous amount of time and effort have been put into this Substack, and the output has been consistent in terms of timing. As for value, that is your own judgment to make!
Overall subscriber growth:
Paid subscriber growth (this was turned on months after the site was launched):
A 10% conversion rate (the percentage of overall subscribers who pay) is considered very good/excellent. We are well above that target on this Substack.

Canada: you once called Canada the quintessential Post national nation. I Assume you mean no heritage no history no culture no centre, just formless international community in a cold climate. Is that what you meant?
Please do a think piece on Canada.
