The GAE has unleashed itself -- there is no coincidence between the Xi Jingping rumours and the skirmishes between the Turkic and non-Turkic Asian states, and the many rumours of Internal Russian discontent, and so on. It’s a full on disinformation war and it’s ultimate goal is to melt the brains of as many people as possible.

Too be honest I have been away from the news for about the last two weeks. Been in LA (for the first time ever) and now back “home”.
The general atmosphere does seem downbeat, even though absolutely no politics have been discussed. Maybe it is a coincidence because of personal reasons, but seems a lot of people are on the black-pill diet.

Everything the major outlets publishes is sieved through the filter of one political stance or another. If you don't live in the US you don't realize the entire journalistic community is comically bad. Every time the Ukrainians score some minor, squad level victory, it's played up with heroic adjectives as if its VE Day. If the Russians level three towns and kill 10K people, it's reported as "Russian forces 'advanced.'"
My father was an officer and combat veteran in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He, and all his military friends prized clear think above all else. Even when I was a teenager and asking pointed questions about Vietnam, the answers I always got were thoughtful, informed and rational. As he used to say, quoting Patton: "If everybody in this room is thinking the same thing, somebody's not thinking.
I thought the reason Monkeypox dooming died down in the media is that they actually stopped the spread. It took longer than two weeks but case rates are significantly lower in the west. My late mother and her sisters were in Croatia and Bosnia early 1990s, as good irish Catholics to guess where? Medjugorje of course, flying in via Mostar. There is a saying, once a Catholic, always a Catholic, as if one rejects it as an adult, one is still formed by it. Present generation of young Irish adults are first middle class to be raised by non-practising parents, a reality that forms our elites and media. There is now no political party which has room for the 33 per cent who voted against abortion expansion referendum and the 38 per cent who voted against 'Gay Marriage' referendum. They all chase the same liberal voters, especially the young. Dreher has his heart in the right place but believes too well of the enemies of faith, truth and reality.
There is no actual realistic right wing in ireland but a profitable NGO grift in 'opposing fascism'.
