Open Thread #10 - Nancy Pelosi Wins Game of Chicken in the South China Sea

To be honest, it's a hilarious story

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi flew right into Taipei earlier today with support from the USAF providing her plane well-armed and ready escorts. You do, in fact, gotta hand it to her.

What’s odd is that the White House came out publicly against her trip, with the US Intel Community none too happy about it either. Just who is in charge of US foreign policy? Only compounding matters related to this question is that Taiwan is one of the most sensitive places for US activity due to China’s increasingly vocal sabre-rattling.

Washington is sending more arms to Ukraine to keep the Russians busy while Nancy Pelosi tweaks Xi Jinping’s nose. What do you guys think?
